Sexual Function DisordersSexuality is a crucial and integral part of a woman's existence; it's natural and adequate fulfillment, is necessary to maintain a woman's quality of life and preserve her self image. 43% of American women, suffer from some form of female sexual disorder that might alter their sexual desire, hinder their arousal, inhibit their orgasm, or cause them pain. It is therefore imperative, to address and correct any sexual dysfunction, that is severe enough to cause the patient personal distress and alter her self-esteem or relationship with others.

Sexual function disorders include:

1. Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (Decreased libido): The persistent or recurrent deficiency or absence of sexual fantasies &/or desire for, or receptivity to, sexual activity, which causes personal distress.

2. Sexual arousal disorder: The persistent or recurrent inability to attain or maintain sufficient sexual excitement, causing personal distress.

3. Orgasmic disorder: The persistent or recurrent difficulty of, or delay in, or absence of attaining orgasm following sufficient sexual stimulation & arousal, which causes personal distress.

4. Sexual pain disorder: The persistent or recurrent genital pain associated with sexual intercourse, which causes personal distress.
